A native of Chicago, Dr. Lawrence M. Fox received his DVM degree from the University of Illinois in 1968. At the time, he was the youngest veterinarian in the country. He returned to Chicagoland after serving as a Captain in the US Army Veterinary Corps in Washington state. In 1981, Dr. Fox became one of the first 37 veterinarians in the country to become board-certified in Canine and Feline Practice, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

Dr. Fox has been actively involved in the community through service and school organizations. He was a founding director of the Animal Care League in Oak Park. He has been president of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association. He appears regularly in the electronic media, and edited "Chicago Vets on Pets" for the Sun-Times and Pioneer Press and belongs to Mensa.

Dr. Fox and his wife are the parents of 3 adult sons and share their home with numerous pets. When not working or babysitting their grandchildren, the Foxes enjoy movies and ballroom dancing.

Dr. Kathleen Heneghan grew up on the Northwest Side of Chicago and received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University. She first came to us as a University of Wisconsin veterinary student extern in 1993. Upon graduation, she joined us as a full time doctor in July of 1994. Veterinary medicine is her "dream job" and her interests include dermatology, oncology, behavior, ultrasound and surgery. Over the years, she has adopted pets that "found" her at work: an occupational hazard! However, between July, 2007 and July, 2009, she lost her beloved Rocky, Torch, Ben and Dunny. It was a tremendously rough couple of years, but she's looking forward to a new start in 2010...

Dr. Heneghan has been active in the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) since graduation and served as CVMA President in 2007. Her involvement in their Public Education committee has allowed her to contribute to newspaper articles and appear on TV as part of the CVMA's Saturday morning pet segment on NBC5. She is a charter member of the Loyola University Biology Alumni Advisory Board and is a frequent attendee at their student networking events.

She loves to travel and works to support that habit. In her free time, she also enjoys traditional Irish (and other) music, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places around town. As Dr. Fox says, she is a great communicator (aka "she talks a lot") and is delighted to get to know her patients and clients. Oh, and she wants you all to know that the Charlie's Angels pose was her idea!

Dr. Ericka Haynes
is a native of Milwaukee and also received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She is outgoing and exuberant, and you'll love her when you meet her. She shares her life with two kitties and enjoys music, dancing and the culture of Chicago.

In keeping with the EGAH tradition of Drs. Fox and Heneghan, Dr. Haynes has also appeared on the 6 AM Channel 5 news broadcast Saturday mornings. She has developed quite an impressive resume since joining our team. She is now a new member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association's Executive Board and was recently selected to attend the American Veterinary Medical Association's Leadership Conference. Dr. Haynes has shared that leadership by speaking to grade school students interested in scientific careers.

... when they are not out helping puppies and kitties, they are working at Charles Townsend Agency as private investigators!
